Flowers and Lunch

Here are some of the pictures I promised.   I haven’t finished planting all my flowers.  I have several planters that need to be filled.

I love my little angel.

Today Allison and I went to Black Mountain for lunch.  We went to a new place called The Blackbird.  Wow! Was it delicious.

Pretty window boxes out side of The Blackbird.Close up of the window boxes.

The specials for the day.

I had the tempura oysters.  Yummy!

The restaurant is located in a new development called Chestire(I think).  It is a planned development.  We took a drive through the development and what a surprise!  It was beautiful.  None of the house were alike.  Each was unique in it’s own way.  The developers left all the trees so it look like the home had been there for awhile.Look how narrow this home is.

Wonderful upstairs porch.

Lots of trees and porches.

Another narrow home.  This looks like a tree house.

The stone work on the homes are really beautiful.

I feel in love with this arrangement of flowers on this door.  I wish the picture came out better but I think you can get the idea of just how big this was and the amount of space it took on the door.

Another door, however, not as pretty as the one above.

Until next time

Blessings

I love all the days of the week, however, Monday just seems to be more difficult.  I usually go to the YWCA and work out.  I got up, got dressed, got in the car and ended up at BB Barns.  That is a wonderful place to buy plants.  If they don’t have it, it’s not grown.  They carry everything.  90 minutes later, and a bit poorer, I came home to work in my garden.  The day was just beautiful.  Only in the low 70’s and a cool breeze. I worked most of the morning and then stopped for lunch.  Now, I haven’t done this since last summer, so I was out of shape.  I did not go back outside to work.  The mail had arrived and low and behold, The Hurt Locker came with the mail.   I ate my lunch in front of the tv.  Now if you haven’t seen this movie, you need to do so.  It reminds us of what our soldiers are doing over in Iraq.  Excellent movie!

I will post some pictures tomorrow of the flowers that I have planted.  I have a meeting in the morning and a hair cut in the afternoon.

Blessings!
