Still Hot!!

Not much happening at this house.  I had a wonderful visit from my niece and her daughter on Monday.  W hat a delight!  I could just eat that little one alive.  She has the curliest hair and she is always in motion.  I took several pictures but only one came out.  She kept moving.  Never still for a moment.

When I found out they were coming I got up very early in the morning to make her a fairy wand like I did for her two cousins.  She loved it!  Now I have to make the boxes to put the fairy dust in.  I love making things for the girls.  I may have to adopt them as my grand kids.

Keep cool.

Blessings.

HOT! HOT! HOT!

It is sooooo hot outside.  With the humidity it makes it almost impossible to breathe.  My friend, Allison, want to go to the Art Walk down in the River District.  We went fairly early, but it was so uncomfortable walking around, I couldn’t wait to leave.  The lofts and studios are not air conditioned!!  The studios are located in the River District down by the river and railroad tracks.  I heard on the news that today was our hottest day this year.  Figures!

Not only were the studios open, the gardens surrounding them were open.  There was a lot of metal sculpture displayed in the gardens.

Notice the large vase to the left.  I’m sorry I didn’t get a closer picture of the vase.

Pretty yellow roses in one of the gardens.

Inside one of the studios.

This is my favorite artist. The next several pictures are from her studio.

I love her work.  I purchased one of the above.

I purchased the one on the right.

This is the bottom of the one above.

Different artist.

This is a lamp.  The glow inside is the bulb.

After touring some of the district, it was too hot to go on and do it all.  We decided to go to lunch.  We went downtown to have lunch.  After lunch we walked around Wall Street.

Wall Street is so unique

Segways  on Wall Street.

This is so cute I had to get a picture.  It is in front of the store Beads and Beyond.  I like the little man in the front.  It reminds me of my Italian uncles.

Allison on Wall Street.  Notice the cat in the background on the brick wall.

Close up of cat.

Cat jumped on pole to try and escape.

Not real cats.  Just one of the many sculptures to be found in and around downtown.

Hope your Saturday was cooler that mine.

Blessings.
