Good Day!

Yesterday was not a good day.  I never got out of my pj’s.  Today was just too beautiful not to do something.  I got up, got dressed and headed down to Lake Lure.  The lake is only about 22 miles from my house, however, scenery wise, it’s a million miles away.

My first stop was at Larkins on the Lake.  It’s my favorite place to eat at Lake Lure.  I got a seat right on the water.  The next two pictures are the view from my table.

The next picture is the over hang from this tree.  It had really neat things hanging from it.

This is the Lake Lure Spa.  They have just recently redone the entire building.

Chimney Rock .  If you look closely at the pictures you will be able to see the US flag flying at the Rock.  You can walk out on to that rock.  Scared the bees out of me when I did it many years ago.

I saw this beautiful country church on the way to the lake and had to stop and take a picture.  There is a creek running right in front of the church.

Tomorrow is Mother’s Day.  So sad to be without my mom.  I miss her very much.  Oh! how I wish she was with me at this time.  I’m also sad being away from my precious Nicole.  I’ll have to think of something to do to keep me busy tomorrow.
