No Bull

I spent several days with Buddy last week.  We had a full schedule.  We had dinner with his brother on Friday night, dinner at his best friend’s home on Saturday night, and we went to a play on Sunday.  The play was, “Then There Were None.”  I had seen it many years ago.  It was good to see it again.  On Saturday Buddy took me around Hendersonville to show me an amazing cattle ranch.  The long horns were beautiful.  One came right up to me and wanted to be petted.  The man who owns the ranch has two hugh bulls at the front gates.  I took some pictures.  Hope you enjoy them.

Think of all the hamburgers from that steer!

Isn’t he cute?

This is the one that came over to be petted.  The horns scared me off.

This fellow was a bit different.

Lots of long horn.

I thought the baby long horn was cute.

Getting ready for Memorial Day.

Blessings!

Arboretum

Today was a beautiful, if a bit too warm for May, day.  Buddy had never been to the North Carolina Arboretum, so today was the day.  The grounds and flowers were just beautiful!  I bought a season pass because I do go quite often.  With a pass, you don’t have to pay for parking, and you get a discount on the many classes the have.  Below are several pictures I took during the day.

From a distance this looked like Easter baskets filled with tulips.  It was quite pretty.

Sitting by the water feature.

My favorite picture.

Red Mountain Laurel.  I never heard of such.

Blurry close up of Red Mountain Laurel.

Water plants.

More water plants.

Beautiful garden sculpture on the grounds.

If you have never been to the arboretum, it is a must see when you are in Asheville.  The have one of the best Bonsai exhibits in the south.  It was too hot for me to stop and take pictures today.  They were also just planting the new patch work quilt garden today.  It should be ready by the end of the week.  Can’t wait to see what it will be.

Blessings!
